This year, our school entered a record number of ensembles in the City of Toowoomba Instrumental Eisteddfod — the most Centenary Heights has ever had — and achieved fantastic results.
A heartfelt thank you to Jess Johansen and Naden Gray for their time, dedication, and expertise in preparing our students. Congratulations to all our student performers, as well as the past students and staff who joined our Symphony Orchestra and Senior Strings for the Open Section.
It was a joy to witness the pride and enthusiasm with which our students shared their music with the Toowoomba community. Many of these talented students also performed solos and duets, and we look forward to sharing those outstanding results soon.

Centenary Heights was awarded the Darling Downs Regional Music Committee Aggregate Trophy. This trophy is awarded to the Secondary School gaining the highest aggregate of rankings in any two Sections from Section 436 (Secondary School Orchestra), Section 438 (Secondary School ‘A’ Grade Concert Band) and Section 440 (Secondary School ‘A’ Grade Stage Band).
We were also awarded a second instrumental aggregate trophy for secondary schools - The Gary Williams Memorial Trophy which is awarded to the Secondary School gaining the highest aggregate of rankings in any two Sections from Section 437 (Secondary School String Ensemble), 470 (Secondary String (unaccompanied) Trio/Quartet) and 472 (Secondary School Small String A Grade Ensemble).
So our instrumental performers won both of the ensemble aggregate trophies, which is an incredible achievement.
The Centenary Heights Dance Troupe also achieved accolades at the Toowoomba Eisteddfod. We received the following placings in some extremely tough divisions against not only Toowoomba, but against excellence programs from Brisbane and Ipswich!
3rd place – Junior Hip Hop
3rd place – Junior Jazz
3rd place – Opens Hip Hop
Highly Commended – Opens Contemporary troupe A

Congratulations to all of our Performing Arts students and teachers on their dedication and well deserved success at the Toowoomba Eisteddfod in 2025.
