Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments (AARA)
Centenary Heights State High School recognises that some students may have disability, impairment and/or medical conditions or experience other circumstances that may affect their ability to read, respond to and participate in assessment. Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments (AARA) are designed to assist these students.
If you have a condition that has a functional impact when undertaking assessment, you should speak with your class teacher, HOY or HOD. Eligibility and possible AARA according to the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA) can be found here: https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/assessment/aara/eligibility-possible-aara
Once you have determined that you do need an AARA and are eligible, you will need to compile evidence to demonstrate that your condition has a functional impact requiring specific arrangement(s) or adjustment(s).
Evidence can be compiled in the following Student Statement and Confidential Medical Report forms and submitted to the Guidance Officer.
