To be successful in this program, students need to be self-motivated, present a report card with a ‘B’ average with their application form, maintain good results in their school subjects and have good time management skills.

Study requires perseverance and commitment on behalf of any student, and this is especially so for any student who undertakes tertiary studies while still in Year 10, 11 or 12.
It is important that students and parent/s /carer/s understand the significance of various aspects of this study commitment:
# USQ Head Start applications are
available to Centenary Height’s students at the following times and subject to
the following conditions:
- Year 10 - Summer Semester (S3) only and subject to:
a) students
attaining an B standard across their subjects in both Semester 1 Year 10 and Term 3 Year 10 Report cards
b) Approval by the
Head Start Coordinator and relevant Deputy Principal / Principal
c) Acceptance by
the University of Southern Queensland
- Year 11 – Semester 2 and 3 only and subject to:
a) students
attaining a B standard across their subjects in their most recent
Semester Report card
b) Approval by the
Head Start Coordinator and relevant Deputy Principal / Principal
c) Acceptance by
the University of Southern Queensland
- Year 12 – Semester 1 and 2 only and subject to:
a) students
attaining a B standard across their subjects in their most recent
Semester Report card
b) Approval by the
Head Start Coordinator and relevant Deputy Principal / Principal
c) Acceptance by
the University of Southern Queensland
d) Approval to
withdraw from a subject in lieu of participation in a Head Start subject will
be dependent on approval by the school
# UQ Enhanced Studies Program
applications are available to Centenary Height’s students at the following
times and subject to the following conditions:
- Year 12 – Semester 1 only and subject to:

attaining a B+ standard across their subjects in their Semester 1 and
Term 3 Year 11 Report Cards
b) Approval by the
Head Start Coordinator and relevant Deputy Principal / Principal
c) Acceptance by
the University of Queensland
d) Approval to
withdraw from a subject in lieu of participation in an ESP subject will be
dependent on approval by the school
