Music Excellence Program
Centenary Heights State High School has a long history of Music excellence and continues this tradition through the Music Excellence Program. The program aims to foster growth and confidence in young music students in their musicianship and as performers, and consists of a two-year classroom specialist music course across Years 7 and 8 alongside participation in extra-curricular instrumental and/or vocal ensemble programs. Throughout the year the students perform at various school and community events as well as participate in various music workshops (vocal & instrumental) with visiting instrumental and vocal specialists, including conductors and master teachers from the Qld Conservatorium Griffith University.
Entry into the program is through application and is offered to all students across the Toowoomba region (both in and out of the Centenary Heights State High School catchment area). On submission of the Application students will be contacted with audition information.
