Holly Lee

Curran Captain

I’m so grateful to have been awarded the position of Curran House Captain. As a devoted sportswoman, I have big plans to help improve the level of achievement and participation at Centenary Heights. I am willing to dedicate my time to the female soccer team in order to encourage participation from females across multiple sports, hoping to snag our first grand final victory. I will try to be an engaging leader, encouraging my house to participate in sporting events and  create an enthusiastic environment for all involved. I look forward to working with my fellow House Captains to make 2020 the best year it can be.

Sarah Mitchell
  Curran Captain

I am honestly so excited to take on this role and all its responsibilities; working closely with my peers and fellow leaders to champion sport at CHSHS in 2020. It is well known that sport and physical activity foster many physical, emotional and social benefits when the focus is placed on participation and overall enjoyment. Therefore, I wish to inspire an atmosphere of competitive spirit and healthy rivalry during competitions between students, sporting houses, differing schools, as well as through the newly introduced teachers vs students series. Sporting events, such as these, provide an avenue for students to demonstrate their talents outside of the classroom and form lasting friendships across the school; instilling values of sportsmanship and humility during moments of victory or defeat, both on and off the sporting field.

Lexi McEvoy
Curran Vice-Captain

I feel honoured to be granted the opportunity to represent Centenary as Curran House Vice-Captain. It is my intention to continue to uphold Centenary Height's proud sporting culture. My approach to this leadership role will involve promoting the values of teamwork and sportsmanship as well as encouraging student participation in sporting activities. I hope to express my adoration for sport in this leadership role, nurturing the importance of physical well-being. I'm looking forward to a successful year full of sporting opportunities with my fellow leadership team in 2020. Curran for the win.

Curran Vice-Captain

In accepting the role of Curran Vice-Captain for 2020 I see this as an opportunity to accept the responsibility of helping lead an entire house of Centenary Heights to take part, engage and preferably win in the wide range of interhouse events at the school. Having this position, actively representing my school, I hope will be an amazing experience not just for teaching others but others teaching me. I hope I can bring new ideas for the benefit of my fellow Sports Captains and teachers. Curran for the win!!!

Kenny Captain

It is an honour to be elected to the position of Kenny Sports Captain for 2020, and I would like to thank the school for this opportunity. I will aim to promote and build a positive sporting environment and culture within the school, allowing for greater participation in school events and overall increased enjoyment. This will be achieved through my co-operation and consultation with both staff and the other House Captains to provide a well organised and considered sporting program for 2020. I aspire to lead Kenny with pride and spirit alongside my fellow Captain and Vice-Captains. Hopefully in 2020, we’ll see Kenny lift the trophy. Go Kenny!

Thompson Vice-Captain

Being appointed Thompson Vice-Captain for the year 2020 is a great honour. My aim is to encourage more students at Centenary to participate in sports, not only the big 3 carnivals but by even joining school sporting teams to have a bit of fun. I will continue offering support to my fellow students and try to make many new friends along the way. My main goal for myself and for Thompson for 2020, is for it to be the highest participating house at all the carnivals. Together, I know, we can make 2020 the best year for the Thompson house.
