Ingrid Meiklejohn
School Captain

I see it as an absolute honour and privilege to have been given the opportunity to serve Centenary Heights State High School in 2019 as school captain. In this position, I aim to continually nurture pride among our school community and promote our three core values: safety, respect and learning. I intend to lead from the front and be a positive role model for other students, encouraging participation, diligence and determination. I hope to grow both as a leader and as a person through this role and am excited for what my last year of schooling will bring. I am so immensely grateful for the opportunity to give back to the school that has given me so much and I look forward to working alongside my fellow leaders in 2019 to hopefully make a positive difference in our community.

Mitchell Williams
School Captain

As school captain of Centenary Heights in 2019, I endeavour to uphold the reputation of our school, particularly in the key areas of safety, respect and learning. Additionally, I wish to encourage ethical bystanding within Centenary and the wider community and, in doing so, promote integrity. Throughout the upcoming year, I aim to further develop relationships between senior and junior students of the school regardless of circumstance or ability, to ensure Centenary provides a welcoming and enjoyable environment to all. As part of what I believe to be a highly influential and caring leadership team, I will strive to ensure 2019 is a year of opportunity and enjoyment at Centenary Heights State High School, in which community involvement is a prevalent feature.

Emily Treadwell
School Vice-Captain

It is an incredible honour to be elected as one of the 2019 School Vice-Captains. I look forward to the many opportunities that will be available through this role and I cannot wait to meet so many new, extraordinary people along the journey. In my role, I hope to make Centenary Heights State High School a welcoming and safe environment for all students and staff, as well as being a role model for my peers. I am immensely thankful that I was intrusted with this position and I am excited to see where this role will take myself and my fellow leadership team in 2019.

Andrew Corbett
School Vice-Captain

I am unbelievable humbled to have been given the position of School Vice-Captain for 2019. I am also grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and hardworking leadership body this year along with my fellow School Captains, Mitchell Williams and Ingrid Meiklejohn, and School Vice-Captain Emily Treadwell. It is an absolute privilege to be able to work together as a team to lead our wonderful school, overcome challenges, and inspire our fellow students to maintain the values that make Centenary Heights State High School the diverse and accepting environment that we feel proud to be a part of. In the coming year, I will continuously strive to grow into the leader that the school both wants and needs me to be and I look forward to all of the opportunities, challenges and surprises that the year of 2019 may hold.
