Junior School Captain

It is an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to be Junior Secondary Captain for Centenary Heights State high school for 2019. In this new position, I hope to uphold the values and characteristics of the school and the previous Captains who were so very kind, confident and were very open-minded when I was in Year 7 and 8. I can’t wait to work with my fellow leaders and the school’s great cohort to help make Centenary Heights a livelier, safe and encouraging environment. Throughout the year, I hope to inspire and influence as many students as I can in Years 7, 8 and 9, and especially strive to make those in Year 7 feel welcome as I did upon my arrival to this school. I hope to grow as a leader and become a familiar friendly face that students will recognise and want to speak to. I wish to represent Centenary both inside and outside the classroom and be a part of Centenary’s community. I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to 2019 and whatever it may hold.

Junior School Captain

I am honoured to be given the chance to represent Centenary Heights State High School as a Junior Secondary captain for 2019. During my two years at this school so far, I have had the honour of witnessing the leadership of the amazing Junior Secondary Leaders and the fantastic School Leaders of the past years. I’ve also had the pleasure of forming close friendships with some of them, they are all amazing people and phenomenal role-models, I have learnt so much from them. I will try my very best to pick up the mantle they have left behind, to make everyone feel loved and accepted at this amazing school. I know that high school can be scary, especially for the grade 7s’ who have never experienced it before, and I know from experience how helpful it is to have someone who’s already ‘walked the road’ walk alongside you. I will strive to be this for all my junior school peers. I look forward to using what I have learnt from those who have come before me to aid me in my goal to make 2019 an amazing, unforgettable year.

  Junior School Vice-Captain
It is an honour and privilege to be elected Junior Secondary Vice-Captain for 2019 and to be a representative for years 7 to 9. I cannot wait to welcome the new Year 7’s to our school as this is what I received when I first started here at Centenary. As a school leader I will encourage everyone, especially years 7, 8 and 9, to do their best through the school motto "Per Ardua Ad Alta" – Through Hard to the Top. I look forward to what 2019 will hold and upholding the key morals of safety, respect and learning that are so crucial to making Centenary Heights a great school. Together with my other captain’s I look forward to leading years 7, 8 and 9 into 2019.
