Vale Dorrie Postle

Dorrie Postle celebrating with her son, Glen Postle.
Dorrie Postle was born in 1915, the youngest of 11 children and passed away peacefully on the 3 August, aged 101, knowing she had lived her life well.
Dorrie was the mother of Glen Postle, co-founder of Toowoomba Flexi School and, for many years, was a generous benefactor of Flexi. She kindly donated money each month from her pension to the school’s lunch program and was also well known for bringing in treats for students during assessment week each term.
Dorrie always had a bright outlook on life; as a young woman she was bedridden with tuberculosis but she did not let that hold her back as she went on to live a full life.
The students and staff of Centenary Heights State High School and Toowoomba Flexi School would like to express sincere respect and gratitude to Dorrie and her family for their past and continuing support for our school.
