Language tour to Melbourne

Flinders Lane during our walking tour of Melbourne - smiles all round!

Last term ended on a huge high for our Language Department with nine students and two teachers travelling interstate to enjoy a languages and cultures tour of Melbourne. During our time there we took the opportunity to visit the Goethe Institut of Victoria, Immigration Museum, Melbourne Museum, Fitzroy Gardens, Skydeck, shopping centres and a number of different dining experiences including German, Swiss, Italian and Chinese.

This proved to be a fantastic way to start our Spring Vacation with both students and staff having an awesome time (all wanted to stay longer!) and it was made so much easier flying directly from Toowoomba. Jumping on and off trams added to the excitement and ease of visiting much of the Melbourne CBD.

The biggest highlight was the friendships made and cemented – it was great getting to know each other better which will only enhance learning opportunities back here at school. The conduct and maturity level displayed by all students was outstanding – happy to take our students anywhere!
